Cobham Free School was established in 2012, with just a one form entry infant department and has now grown and developed into an all through school for pupils aged from 4-18 years old. Previously based on two sites, an infant and senior site, Cobham Free School have recently secured a permanent location, and will soon be the new home for Years 3 up to Sixth Form.
Main contractor Willmott Dixon worked with TBS Amwell on the project to ensure Cobham Free Schools’ needs were met. The brief was to provide washrooms that would be welcoming to students in an open planned setting and therefore required cubicles that offered privacy to pupils.
TBS Amwell’s Splash Privacy range was the ideal choice to meet this brief. Splash Privacy has floor to ceiling divisions, fitted using a specifically designed privacy channel, offering maximum user privacy, as well as quick and easy installation.
An important factor for the Executive Head, Michaela Khatib was to ensure that students felt safe and secure in the open planned environment, the minimal door to floor clearance of Splash Privacy provides this to students. The 360 degrees of privacy is a great benefit for younger students who are still developing confidence and independence. Emergency release locks come as standard, offering piece of mind in case of emergency.
Made of solid grade laminate, Splash Privacy is water resistant, durable and dependable making it the perfect option for the expanding school that can be relied on for years to come.
With a wide variety of colours to choose from, earthy and natural tones were chosen for the cubicles and PDQ Panel & Frame IPS Ducting to represent calm in the washrooms.
To complete the washroom our Solid Surface Washtroughs were chosen. Manufactured from an advanced composition of minerals and acrylic polymer, our solid surface material is exceptionally durable and provides an eye catching natural stone appearance.
