The University of Manchester has recently undertaken a £2.6 million major refurbishment project of their Sugden Sports Centre. The project included the updating of both the upstairs and downstairs gym and activity rooms, changing rooms, benching and locker systems, as well as new toilets.
The sports centre now boasts state of the art Matrix gym equipment designed to get everyone more active. The refurbishment included an extended gym floor with additional free weights stations and functional fitness area, a brand new spinning room for group exercise classes, making it the only University to offer a spinning studio. The revamped changing rooms and new reception area were designed to cut down on queues and make for an improved user experience for students and staff.
Simon Howcroft, General Manger of Sugden Sport Centre commented ‘The Sugden team are very happy with the products and installation. The response from our customers is excellent and the staff say that the products are presentable and easy to keep clean. We now feel like a modern centre able to provide washroom facilities which meet the expectations of our customers’.
TBS Amwell, working alongside one of our preferred installers TBS Fabrications, were delighted to be a part of this major transformation.
